Creatin is a platform that connects content creators with brands for ambassador-style UGC campaigns. Our platform enables creators to discover paid collaboration opportunities and manage deliverables, while brands can create campaigns, review applications, and manage collaborations end-to-end.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use the Creatin app, website (creatin.app), and related services.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

• Account Details: Name, email address, password, and authentication credentials.
• Profile Information: Username, bio, content links, preferred categories, portfolio images and videos.
• Social Login Data: If you sign in with Apple, Google, or other providers, we receive your public profile (name, email, profile photo, and unique ID).
• Campaign and Application Data: Campaign details and scripts you create (as a brand), applications you submit (as a creator), proposed rates, deliverables, and messages.
• Communications: Messages you send to brands, creators, or our team through the platform.

b. Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device ID, IP address, browser type.
• Usage Data: Pages or screens visited, time spent, interactions, features used, session duration.
• Cookies / Analytics: We use cookies and analytics tools (PostHog) to understand performance and improve user experience.
• Error Logs: Technical error information and crash reports collected via Sentry.

c. Social Media OAuth Data

When you connect your social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) through OAuth:

• Instagram: Username, profile picture, follower count, verified status, and with your permission, access to your media content and analytics.
• TikTok: Username, display name, profile picture, follower count, verified status, and with your permission, access to your video content and analytics.
• YouTube: Channel name, profile picture, subscriber count, verified status, and public channel information.

We only access data you explicitly authorize. You can revoke access at any time through your social media account settings or within the Creatin app.

d. Analytics and Insights Data

When you connect social media accounts, we may collect analytics data to provide insights:

• Engagement Metrics: Likes, comments, shares, saves, views, and engagement rates.
• Content Performance: Top-performing content, view counts, reach, impressions.
• Audience Demographics: Age ranges, geographic distribution, and audience insights (where available through platform APIs).
• Follower Growth: Follower/subscriber counts and growth trends over time.

e. Payment Information

For creators receiving payouts:

• Payment Processing: Payment information is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• Payout Data: Payout amounts, statuses, and connected bank account information (managed by Stripe Connect).
• Billing Records: Retained as required by tax and accounting laws.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your Creatin account and profile.
• Enable creator-brand matching and campaign recommendations.
• Facilitate campaign creation, applications, and collaboration management.
• Display your portfolio content, including media from connected social accounts.
• Provide analytics and insights to help creators showcase performance.
• Process payments and facilitate creator payouts.
• Moderate content to ensure platform safety.
• Improve our platform's performance and user experience.
• Respond to support requests and technical issues.
• Send you important updates about your account, campaigns, and earnings.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. How We Share Information

We may share information only in these cases:

• With Service Providers: Trusted providers who help us operate our platform (Stripe, Sentry, PostHog, Railway, Convex, Bunny.net).
• With Brands (for Creators): When you apply to a campaign, brands can see your profile information, portfolio, analytics data, and application details.
• With Creators (for Brands): When you create a campaign, creators can see your brand profile and campaign details.
• For Legal Reasons: To comply with laws, regulations, or government requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Your Rights and Choices

• Access: Access and update your profile and account information at any time through the app.
• Social Media Connections: Connect or disconnect your social media accounts at any time through account settings.
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us at [email protected].
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete Account" option in settings. Data is removed within 30 days.
• Marketing Communications: Opt out of marketing emails by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email.

If you are located in the EEA or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to object to processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

5. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption (in transit and at rest). Payment information is processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We retain your account data as long as your account is active or as required by law. Analytics data is cached and refreshed periodically. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except for data we are required to retain by law.

6. Children's Privacy

Creatin is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it immediately.

7. International Users

Creatin may process data using servers in various regions. By using the app, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data.
